The DO “Rías Baixas” begins in 1980 with the recognition of the Albariño designationis one of the most dynamic designations of origin, and with wider international growth due to the fact that the Albariño variety, indigenous to this area, enjoys suitable conditions of climate and soil. Produced by Bodegas Carballal is family operated by the Vazquez family and it is located in a historical sub-zone of O Salnés, home of the origin of the Albariño variety and the most important Denominación de Origen; the River Umia flows throughout this valley, sheltered on both banks by the hillsides of mounts Castrove, Lobeira and Xiabre.
The Estylo Puro Albariño has a light straw color, with fresh aromas of peach, apricot, melon, and citrus with some floral notes. Flavors on the palette offer soft fruit, a nice
undertone of minerality, with great acidity. It is a very well balanced wine, giving into a persistent long finish. Goes well with fish, shell fish, light cheese, sushi plates.
