Bradgate Wines Selection Syrah Stellenbosch South Africa Winemaking The wine was matured between 9 and 12 months in new and used French oak barrique (225l). Vinification: The grapes were harvested from West-facing vineyards at between 24.15° - 25.7°B. Winemakers Comments: A complex flavor spectrum of violets, sweet ripe plums and wild scrub with nuances of crushed pepper and bay leaf. Maturation in oak adds a spicy smokiness to the savory fruitcake finish. About: Over a century has passed since Alfred Jordan settled in the Wine lands of the Western Cape and named his family home Bradgate. Today, Bradgate Wines are produced by the Jordan Family from classic varieties grown in the Stellenbosch region.
